Sophie Grew is a 21 year old photographer based in the West Midlands. She has recently graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours in Photography. Throughout her time at UCLan she built a range of skills in various photographic areas, however her passion for sport in her personal life led her to a specialisation in sports photography; Sophie has been involved in many different sports since her childhood - gymnastics, trampolining, football, tennis, snowboarding and wakeboarding to name a few. Her passion for sports photography was ignited when she brought her love of wakeboarding together with her keen eye for photography and documented the wake life at Cliff Lakes. She then used her time at university to hone her sports photography skills, capturing images of the UCLan sports teams and many other teams in the Preston area with a particular focus on the UCLan Women’s Rugby Team. Since completing her degree, Sophie has been working with Walsall FC, Lichfield RUFC and has also had the opportunity to work with the Guardian to document some of the Women’s FA Cup 2022 matches.
